TEDxSydney brings together world-leading experts and professionals: providing a platform where people across industries can connect by sharing ideas, with a cultural focus and emphasis on conversation, debate and more.  TEDx helped Standards Australia celebrate its centenary year through a partnership underpinned by a custom-made event, Tomorrow’s Technology: Shaping our Future.  The live event was held on October 6 and focused on Critical and Emerging Technologies such as bioscience, AI and the ethical and legal issues arising from advanced technology.Speakers included:

  • Raina McIntyre, Professor of Global Biosecurity & NHMRC Principal Research Fellow at UNSW
  • Allan McCay, Deputy Director of the Sydney Institute of Criminology
  • Lyria Bennett Moses, Director of the UNSW Allens Hub for Technology, Law and Innovation and a Professor and Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Law and Justice at UNSW Sydney

“The partnership with TEDxSydney allowed us to recognise and celebrate our centenary year with a like-minded innovator and industry leader. This bespoke event was an interesting, important discussion on Critical and Emerging Technologies,” said Adam Stingemore, General Manager of Engagement and Communications at Standards Australia .Register to see the video of the event, here:https://tedxsydney.com/event/tedxsydney-2022-salon-standards-australia/
